Shaylie is doing a trial off all respiratory support!! The doctor originally wanted to just put her on the high flow nasal cannula to let her blister heal, then put her back on CPAP but she did so well that they figured they'd see how she does without any supplemental air flow. She's such a big girl!
Shaylie off ALL respiratory support! (they kept her mustache on in case she needs to go back on CPAP)
Tycen was also getting some skin breakdown on his forehead and at his nasal septum, so they decided to take him off of CPAP temporarily, too. He is now on high flow nasal cannula. It is so great to be able to see both of our babies heads and faces! They both seem to be so much more comfortable now, too :)

Tycen on nasal cannula! He looked like he was smiling nearly all day :)
Tycen's heart murmer is now intermittent (comes and goes)!! The doctor said it's about the same, but this is the first time I've heard that it's intermittent. Thank you all for your continued prayers for Tycen's heart.
**Praise God for progress with Tycen's PDA. We also send praises for huge amounts of progress with respiratory support!!
Shaylie's breastmilk is being fortified today, which is done with all preemie babies before they can go off of their IV fluids. This may make her breathing/digestion more challenging, however. She's also off of her IV lipids, which again is one step closer to being solely on breastmilk (fortified).
**Please pray that Shaylie can tolerate her fortified milk without complications so that she can come off of her IV very soon.
