Pumpkin Patches

We made it to two pumpkin patches this year. We also were able to grow 3 large pumpkins in our garden, so we definitely had more pumpkins than we knew what to do with this year :)

The first pumpkin patch we went to was at The Red Barn. It is about a mile from our home and is a very cute little farm. This is the first year they've done a pumpkin patch, which was very convenient for us :) My MOMS group of friends met there one afternoon...

When we first arrived, the owners were telling a story under a canopy and the kids were all sipping hot cocoa and munching on popcorn. We then got to pick out our pumpkins, run through the hay and corn mazes, and go on a tractor ride.

Tyce and Shay both picked white pumpkins :) It was quite rainy, so we appreciated how they had all the nice pumpkins to choose from in the grass (rather than picking through all the pumpkins in the mud)!

The second pumpkin patch we went to this year was with Tycen and Shaylie's preschool class...their FIRST school field trip! :) Scott was able to meet us there, too! There were no buses involved, so we all met at the pumpkin patch, BiZi Farms...

Bad mommy forgot Tycen's raincoat...Poor guy was pretty cold :( To my defense, the coat made it downstairs and I thought Tyce was going to bring it in the car but he didn't and I forgot make sure we had it before we left. Sorry bud!

We always look forward to the pumpkin patches every year! This year we had two wet days, but we made the most of it, baby and all :) Thank goodness for umbrellas!
