Happy Father's Day

We had a fun and relaxing Father's Day this year. I woke up early and got Scott a coffee from Starbucks and then came back home and made his favorite breakfast, waffles :) The kids and I had french toast and pure maple syrup (my favorite :). Tyce and Shay were excited to have daddy open their presents! They had a hard time keeping these gifts a secret before daddy opened them, Scott took them to Target shortly after we bought these gifts from there and they were excited to point out exactly what they had picked out for him :P

Tyce got Scott a base set (he LOVES to play baseball with his dad and can consistently hit a pitch from 10 feet away that isn't all that slow :) Shaylie got her daddy a new Oregon t-shirt and I surprised him with a 90 minute massage.

Tyce and Shay also made their daddy these special cards for Father's day...

Here's the picture he drew, right-side-up (the caption is supposed to say 'spiky' hair):

From Shaylie:

We went to church together as a family and then walked to Esther Short Park to get some lunch. I took the kids to my aunt Peggy's house for a get-together with the Burke family, including Grandpa Jack, while Scott had some alone time and went to his massage. We took the kids on a long walk along the Tualatin River, which was a lot of fun. Thankfully, I had a few helpers who could give Tyce and Shay a piggy-back-ride when they felt tired! (Thanks Uncle Steve and Aunt Nancy :)

We met up with daddy at Papa and Grandma Kathy's house. Grandpa Nibs and 'the girls' (Aunties June and Eleanor) were there, too, along with Uncle Nick and his family :)

We were bummed we didn't get to see Gramps on Father's Day, but he informed me he'd be having a busy day either playing golf or watching the big golf tournament that day.

We are so blessed to have so many amazing father's in our life! And we are especially blessed to be loved by our greatest father, the heavenly father!!
