We dyed Easter eggs a few days before Easter. This year, Tyce and Shay got to do it without much help! :)
This is their, 'hurry up and take the picture' smile...
Nice job, kiddos!
Posing with their eggs:
Posing for mommy before heading to our Good Friday service at church...aren't they adorable?!
On Easter Sunday, we showed the kids a YouTube video of the story of the last supper, Jesus death, reappearance and resurrection first thing in the morning. The kids then got to open their Eater baskets that the Easter bunny left for them (who, just like Santa, is good friends with Jesus :)
Tycen and Shaylie both got a some books, pictures to color, stuffed animal, magnifying glass, garden gloves and a couple chocolate bunnies.
After breakfast, the kids did an egg hunt indoors:
The kids got chocolate covered raisins and yogurt covered almonds in their eggs this year:
After our Easter egg hunt, we went to church. It was pretty bright outside, so the kids had a hard time looking at the camera :)
We headed to my Aunt Peggy and Uncle Steve's house right after church for a family get-together and celebration. The weather was beautiful and we got to spend a lot of time outside! Aunt Peggy was so thoughtful and made the kids some Easter baskets with 'real candy' :) After a couple of pieces, I told them we needed to save the rest for another day. We caught them a couple of times hiding under the coffee table inside, eating their candy...silly kiddos!
Aunt Peggy with my cousin Stacey's daughter, Jayde:

I'm so blessed to have this amazing family, I love you all SO much!!
After we left Aunt Peggy's house, we headed to Nick and Rachael's house for dinner and another family Easter celebration. We had a lot of fun and I didn't even get any pictures, boo :(
Thank you, Jesus, for loving us unconditionally! Thank you for coming to this world so that we can know you and have a relationship with you. It's my relationship with you that changed my life for the better and I hope that one day, Tycen and Shaylie (and our new baby girl :) will experience the joy of loving you and knowing you closely, too!
