Visitors!

Grandma Jan and Cousin Ray Ray came to stay for a long weekend in the end of March. We had so much fun, quality time with them!

They arrived on Thursday afternoon; the kids had a great time playing with one another before dinner:

On Friday, we took the kiddos to OMSI:Getting ready...

Fun at OMSI...

I had to post this picture of Shay and Ray Ray that I took on a quick outing to Target in the afternoon:

On Saturday, we were hoping to take the kids to the zoo; but, since it was raining we ended up going to Jantzen Beach for a picnic lunch, trip to the bookstore and some fun on the carousel:

I love that Aralia always wants me to french braid her hair. I have many fond memories of my aunts french braiding my hair and I first learned to braid by watching them braid my cousins' hair. So sweet to have this bond with my own niece now :)

Look at those beautiful eyes:

On Saturday afternoon, we all went to church. It's been hard taking the kids to church because they still have a very difficult time (i.e. inconsolable screaming) in the daycare. We've been going to the main campus (usually we go to New Heights West campus) for Saturday evening service when Aunt Rachael is volunteering in the daycare so that Scott and I can go to church together. This time, they got to be at church with Grandma Jan, cousin Ray Ray, cousin Gracie and Aunt Rachael...needless to say, they didn't even turn around to say good-bye to us! :)

On Sunday, we stayed home in the morning and the kids had fun playing together. We were hoping to go to the park and let the kids burn off some energy before Grandma Jan and Ray Ray had to take their long drive back home. Unfortunately, it was a pretty rainy weekend, so Scott ended up taking Tyce to Home Depot to run some errands and us girls went to the pet store and had a picnic lunch at Tully's.

More braids... :)

Thanks Grandma Jan and cousin Ray Ray for driving all the way up to our house to come stay with us. We had such a wonderful time with you and hope you'll come back soon! We love you!!
