Their party was at a place called, Kids Klub, and it was a princess/super-hero theme (...as they get older, it's getting harder and harder to do joint parties :) Kids Klub was so great and they were able to combine their usual 'Princess Party' and 'Super-hero Party' packages so it would work for our boy/girl twins! :)
This year was the first year that we invited Tycen and Shaylie's friends to their birthday party! All the kids had so much fun and they were so fun to watch! It brought me so much joy to see Tycen and Shaylie so happy on their birthday, doing what they love to do most: be wild and silly, dress up and run, jump and play! :)
Here are a bunch of pictures that turned out pretty blurry, as you can imagine, not to many still bodies at Kids Klub!

The first thing we did when we arrived was go into our private party room and the kids each got to pick their favorite costume to wear. Some kids chose to bring their own. Here they are all checking themselves out in the mirror :)
Shaylie chose Princess Cinderella:
Tyce chose Spider-man:
After all the kids had their costumes, we went into one of their gymnastic rooms and played on some bounce houses and obstacle course equipment:
Princesses Adeline, Aralia, Shaylie, Gracie and Chiara
We had 2 facilitators who were dressed up as a princess and super-hero:

After they were done with the bounce houses, we moved to a different gymnastics room where the kids got to rope swing into a big pile of foam. It looked like a ton of fun! I think a lot of us grown-ups were wishing we could join them! :)
Getting all the ground rules:
The whole group of awesome kiddos: Tanner, Dylon, Chiara, Ava, Aralia (back row), Cole, Grace, Kai, Tyce, Adeline, Shaylie (front row)
After an hour of playing, we all went into our private party room during the second hour for pizza, cake and presents...
I asked that they not put any artificial food coloring on the cake/cupcakes and this is what they looked like :) Haha, I thought they'd still write 'Happy Birthday, Tycen & Shaylie' on the cake, but I guess that would've been with food coloring :) Oh well, at least they were too young to notice...still tastes the same (or better, in my opinion :)
We always like to sing 'Happy Birthday' to Tycen and Shaylie separately...
Tycen's turn:
Tycen met his friend, Adeline, at church last year. They are so cute, they both love to be silly, run around and are sometimes seen holding hands :) Adeline also goes to Tycen's preschool this year, but she is in the 4 year-old class (a year above him). Since their classes are at the same time, we still get to see her on our way in/out of school. This is one friend that he specifically asked me to invite to his party...so cute!

Shaylie's turn...someone's a little excited! :)
Presents, presents, presents!
Alyssa was a little angel through the whole party! Our friends were giving me a hard time because I had her nestled in so close to me. I didn't mind, though...the thought of bringing my 11 day-old baby to a loud and crazy germ-fest was a little nerve racking, so she stayed pretty well wrapped up close to me the whole time :)
My family leaving the club, right before Katrina and Ulrich had to leave for the airport...
Needless to say, the kids passed out quickly on our way home! What a fun day!!

We hope you will never forget your 4th birthday, Tycen and Shaylie! We love you beyond words!! Xoxoxoxo
