Shortly after Grandma Dawn arrived on Thursday afternoon, we headed to a local coffee shop in Vancouver called Cafe Sip N' Play. The kids and I have been there a number of times, but this was the first time they've been able to play in the toddler play area. They had a great time and so did we watching them while also enjoying a yummy esspresso!
On Friday morning, we took them to storytime at the library. I used to take Tyce and Shay for one-on-one time regularly last fall and early winter, but stopped during cold/flu season. This was the first time that they got to go to storytime together :)
Such a happy boy to be hanging out with Grandma:
On Saturday, we all went to Bridgeport for a nice day of outdoor shopping and exploring:
Shaylie modeling her new and first bracelet:
Tyce and Shay even got to see the Easter Bunny for the first time!
On Sunday, we all went to the Portland Children's Museum for the first time:
Overall, we had a great time at the Children's Museum. Unfortunately, we didn't leave before Tyce had a big fall off this bench and hit the back and side of his head on the medal steering wheel leaving a huge goose egg and closed gash :(
Pre-fall climbing:
Our very tough monkey icing his wounds:
We thought this helmet was very suiting and couldn't resist buying it before heading out the door. Next time he wants to climb to higher heights, we'll be sure to put his hard hat on first :)
On Monday morning before Grandma Dawn had to drive back home, we took Tyce to get his second hair cut. He did very well, as did Shay Shay who waited patiently and helped Grandma take pictures. As soon as Tyce was done and we were headed to go pay, Shaylie walked over to the chair and pointed as if to say, "Is it my turn now?" ... Not quite yet, Shay Shay :)

Thanks for coming to visit us, Grandma Dawn. We had so much fun experiencing all those fun firsts with you. Please come back and see us soon! We love you and miss you very much!!
