Bend, Oregon

We took the kids to the Inn at the 7th Mountain in Bend, Oregon for a long weekend trip. It was a special trip as it was their first time going. Scott and his family have been to 'The Inn' for many years and we have gone together every year since I've known him, except for last year. This year, Scott's whole family went and stayed in a large 3 bedroom condo and we all stayed with my mom in a separate 1 bedroom condo. There is so much to do in Bend, we just love it there. Here are a few pictures from our trip....

We spent a lot of time in the pools:

The kids loved the kiddie pool:

I LOVE this picture of Shaylie and Gracie:

They also have pony rides at The Inn for the kids! Tyce and Shay have been on 2 other pony rides, but both times the ponies were tied to a steel wheel and they just went in circles. This time, we led the ponies through an obstacle course and the kids were not buckled in (which kind of frightened me a bit, but turned out to be fine :).

Shay was all about the ponies until we attempted to put her on one and she wanted nothing to do with it...so, she watched Tyce from the sidelines instead. She got a stuffed animal pony since she didn't end up riding, which is a very special item to both kids :)

There is also a small playground near the pool:

The whole group ate out together one night at Red Robin...the kids' highlight were all the balloons!

We went shopping one afternoon at the Old Mill District:

Shaylie really wanted these boots from Childrens' Place:

...but she was equally as happy with these rain boots we got her instead:

We came across this old fire truck when walking around The Inn grounds....needless to say, Tyce was very excited to be able to drive it:

Of course, Shay Shay wanted in on the action, too:

The last night we were there, Scott, me and the kids went to dinner at a little restaurant called, Croutons:

We hope to continue this trip as part of our family tradition and really look forward to making many more memories over the coming years!
