Tycen and Shaylie turned 20 months old when we were in Florida. Most of my pictures over the last month were erased (see Mother's Day post), except those that I posted from our trip.
These pictures were taken last weekend:
Tyce and Shay's new developments this past month:
*They can now go down most slides feet first
*They can walk up/down stairs by themselves using the handrail
*They say "sshhhh" while putting their finger up to their mouth; sometimes they do this after they yell, almost as if they're reminding themselves before we do :)
*They are talking more and more everyday. Tyce can say several words now and Shay is continuing to put 2 and sometimes 3 words together. She can say (or attempt to say) any word.
*Tycen favorite things: outdoors, brooms/sweeping, steering wheels/playing in the car and pretending to drive, balloons and balls, climbing
*Shaylie's favorite things: swinging, playing with other people/cuddling, tickling others and being tickled, binkies, climbing
*Shaylie also likes to remind Tycen to share by doing the share sign and saying, "share, share..."
*Shoot (slam dunk) a ball in their new basketball hoop
Tycen is still nursing twice per day (morning and night) and Shaylie nurses once to twice per day (morning and/or night). They are starting to eat more types of food and I'm not quite as picky about everything being 100% organic (although I still try to give them mostly organic or all natural foods). The one exception is that we do try to give them restaurant food now when we go out to eat (instead of always bringing homemade food). This sure has made things a bit simpler! Overall, they are still eating very healthy.
Their sleep habits are still quite unpredictable at night. For the most part, when they are healthy they sleep pretty well. We could go a few nights of neither baby waking up and then go several nights where they both wake up several times per night. On average, they wake up about once per night and go back to sleep quickly after we go in and soothe them. They go to sleep between 7-8 pm and usually sleep ~12 hours. They also take one 2-hour nap per day.
Our love for these kiddos is so much more than words can express. We are so proud of them. They are so so loving and give us hugs and kisses all day long. They really do have such a sweet and innocent spirit that is so refreshing, I just want it to last forever.
We love you with all of our hearts, Tycen and Shaylie. Thank you for blessing us with so much joy and happiness everyday!!
