Well, it's official...
Tycen started walking just 3 days after Shaylie!! He really took us by surprise. We could tell he was bound and determined to walk and all of the sudden just kept practicing without any prompting. I think he saw Shaylie doing it and how we'd get really excited for her and decided he wanted to see what all the commotion was about :)
Shaylie now prefers to walk and mainly walks unless she falls while trying to get somewhere quickly and then will crawl the rest of the way. Tycen still prefers to crawl at this point, but has been able to walk across his entire room by himself. He gets going pretty fast and falls pretty hard, but it doesn't seem to bother him too much. Both of our kiddos are pretty tough and don't react much when they fall or bonk their heads (I think it helps that we don't react, either, unless it's really necessary).
So, congrats Shaylie and Tycen! You both started walking at just over 15 months of age (or 12 months adjusted age)!! We're SO proud of you :)
