Happy 4th of July

We were in S. Oregon from Thursday, July 2 to Monday, July 6. Scott and I went to Ashland last year for the 4th of July and decided it'd be a good family tradition to do every year. It's a lot of fun, they have a 2 mile and 6 mile race (which I really wanted to do this year but couldn't because it interfered with feeding times for the babies) followed by a parade in the morning. Then all the people who watched the parade head down to the plaza/park area for food and other festivities. In the evening, they put on a firework show. This year we made it to the parade, but decided to skip the other town events. We wanted to take the kids to the fireworks, but after a long day of activities, they were ready for an early bedtime.

In their 4th of July PJs, playing the Star Spangled Banner to get the day started...

All ready to go!

At the parade...

Grandma and Ray Ray:

Auntie Katrina and Uncle Ulrich rode their tandem bike into town:

Shaylie slept through the marching band that was about 5 feet from her tent!

"Wake up, Shay Shay, you're missing the parade"...

After their afternoon nap, we went to my aunt Pat's house for my cousin Tom's birthday party, which my family does every year. I didn't get many pictures, but here is my aunt Natalia and cousin Alek getting some quality time with Shaylie:

Again, we had so much fun and the babies got to spend time with and meet lots of new family and friends. Thank you to everyone who made our trip SO special!!
