Shaylie and Tycen will be 5 months old tomorrow! We can't believe how fast time goes...before we know it flu season will be over and we can venture out more (without getting nervous about the babies catching RSV). We have been able to get out some, but have to be pretty cautious about germs and avoiding too large of crowds.
Both babies are getting more and more interactive. They LOVE to smile and are now laughing and making some babbling sounds, along with lots of cooing.
They went to the doctor last week for a regular check-up. Tycen weighed 12 lbs 3.5 oz (50 %tile adjusted) and was 24.5 inches tall (90%tile adjusted and 14 %tile non-adjusted!). His head circumference was also in the normal ranges (14 %tile non-adjusted). Shaylie weighed 9 lbs 12.5 oz (25 %tile adjusted) and was 22.5 inches tall (50 %tile adjusted).
My mom came back for another visit :) We had a lot of fun...the babies just love spending time with their grandmas!!
We've had some really good nights in the last couple of weeks, with a few 8+ hour stretches...then just when we think they're onto a new schedule, we have some not so good nights where we're up every 3-4 hours. Hopefully they'll start to sleep longer stretches more consistently in the next couple of months.
We just want to thank you all for your continued prayers and also praise God for blessing us with two healthy and happy babies. They are such a joy and even though these five months have gone by very fast (especially after we left the hospital) we can't imagine life without them. It's like they've been with us all along. They are truly our little angels from Heaven!
